We loved our breakfast! The helpings were very generous, the menu had plenty of variety, and the service and atmosphere were both amazing! I loved the Tolkien breakfast. We can't wait to go back!

Dinner with my family was good- I tried and enjoyed the Pit Pub Burger. In my opinion, it would be better if lettuce & tomato were included for no extra charge. The portions that we were served filled us up. I would recommend this place to people with an interest in literature and classical topics.

We ate here for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Food was spectacular, service was excellent and atmosphere was charming and warm. We enjoyed our experience so much so that we are going back next week for our 30 year anniversary. Don’t visit Prescott without this restaurant on your list.

Came across the Bear and Dragon after a night out in Prescott - what an absolutely amazing place for breakfast. Great food, great service and the owners have an awesome back story. As a Brit I can happily say the English breakfast is on point, as is the rest of the food. Veteran Marine owned - Per Mare, Per Terram.

This is a very unique and interesting restaurant. We all had the Steinbecks breakfast. It was very tasty. There are many books on shelves, kinda like eating in a library. The staff was a very pleasant breakfast spot. It was quite busy, a short wait but worth the experience.

Oh my. What a magical experience. We visited Bear & Dragon today for Sunday Afternoon Tea, and I can honestly say it felt like stepping into a different time. The moment we walked in, I felt as if I had been transported to a cozy English countryside tea room filled with charm, history, and warmth. Every detail was beautiful. The vintage teapots, delicate china, lace tablecloths, little cottage themed tea containers, books lining the shelves, and the inviting atmosphere made the entire experience feel special. I found myself looking around constantly because there was something delightful in every corner. The afternoon tea itself was wonderful. The tiered trays arrived filled with fresh tea sandwiches, fruit, and delicious desserts. Everything was thoughtfully presented and felt like a true tea experience rather than just a meal. The tea selection was excellent, and being served in such beautiful teacups made it even more memorable. What I loved most was the feeling of the place. In a world that moves so fast, Bear & Dragon invites you to slow down, relax, have a conversation, and simply enjoy the moment. It is rare to find a place with so much character and soul. I left with a full heart and already want to return. If you are looking for a unique experience in Prescott, do not miss Sunday Afternoon Tea at Bear & Dragon. It was not just tea. It was time travel. And I think I left a little piece of my heart there. ❤️☕️🫖

We were looking for a dog-friendly spot in Prescott to accommodate our party of eight, plus our Golden Retriever, and Bear and Dragon was the perfect find. Despite our large group, the hostess was fantastic—she quickly arranged two tables for us outside under a large umbrella so we could all sit together comfortably with our dog. While the menu is curated, every sandwich we tried was absolutely delicious. Several of us took our waiter’s recommendation and ordered "The Griz"—a grilled panini with turkey, bacon, mozzarella, tomato, and a basil pine nut pesto. It was outstanding! If you are looking for great service, a welcoming atmosphere for pets, and a fantastic lunch, I highly recommend this place. Don't skip The Griz!

I do not say this lightly, but this is one of the top breakfasts I have ever had. The French Omelette was absolutely outstanding and paired perfectly with the hashbrowns. By far one of the, if not the best omelette I’ve ever had. The execution was flawless, and the flavors and textures hit just right. But the food is only part of what makes this place special. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant is amazing with their library style setup and the J.R. Tolkien quotes on the menu. Chef’s kiss for the ambiance alone. The staff were amazing. Personable, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Me and my family literally felt like we were eating somewhere out of a fantasy. It’s rare to find a restaurant where everything comes together so perfectly. Absolute top recommendation if coming to Prescott. Don’t skip it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Excellent Experience at The Bear and Dragon My recent visit to The Bear and Dragon was fantastic. The charcuterie board was beautifully arranged with a great variety of quality cheeses, cured meats, fresh berries, roasted vegetables, and perfectly paired dips. Everything tasted as good as it looked. The chips were a highlight crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and the accompanying curry Sauce was rich and flavorful. The presentation and attention to detail really stood out, from the garnishes to the elegant plating. The beer selection was solid, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and upscale without feeling pretentious. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for quality appetizers and a well-curated dining experience in Prescott, The Bear and Dragon delivers. Definitely worth a visit, and haste ye back ! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bear & Dragon Cafe was a really nice spot for dinner—the new pub menu is solid, and the cozy cottage vibe makes it feel welcoming right away. No reservations needed, which was perfect for just dropping in. We kicked things off with drinks: my wife had the Dickens Night Cap cocktail (pretty coupe glass, nice frothy top with warm spices—she really enjoyed it), and I started with a Guinness that our server kindly offered on the house as it was an accidental poor, which I was happy to take advantage. My wife went with the Fish and Chips—crispy beer-battered rockfish, thick-cut fries, fresh lemon, and creamy tartar sauce. She said it was spot-on classic pub fare, flaky and satisfying. Definitely not the best she had had, but probably her favorite in the Prescott area. I had the Steak Frites—juicy grilled steak slices with good fries and the sauces (chimichurri was a bit too vinegary for my taste, but the overall dish was tasty and the portions were generous). We finished with the Turtle Cheesecake—creamy layers, caramel, pecans, and whipped cream. Rich, not overly sweet, and a great way to wrap up. Our server was friendly and attentive. The cocktail took a little longer since there’s no dedicated bartender, but it wasn’t a hassle. Everything else came out hot and well done. Overall, a really enjoyable meal in a charming place. The new menu works well, and we’ll definitely plan to come back!
